Early DNF due to clunky writing: excessive use of character names instead of pronouns (often in consecutive sentences), overuse of exclamation marks, general overwriting (eg repeating descriptions of objects/people) and so on. All small things that some readers won't notice or care about, but they quickly became a constant irritation to me, and I gave up.

Fun, light hearted mystery about Ted who is trying to get her private eye business off the ground. She believes she knows all that is happening, but does she, does she really??
Alongside the great big mystery she is trying to solve there are also family mysteries to solve but how do you solve something you already know the solution to?

Not by any stretch is this a cosy mystery anything like Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club, despite RWR McDonald’s quote on the dust jacket or Kerry Greenwood’s Phryne Fisher. Main character not likeable but others more so.
