The embrace is the third book in the Broken Slipper Trilogy. I loved this whole series and especially this book. Kaia and Calum have been through so much at this point. This book picks up where the last one leaves off. This book will take you on an emotional ride there are still more obstacles to overcome like the previous books.

I highly recommend this book! I look forward to future series by this amazing author. I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion.

there’s quite a few scenes that are just almost exact repeats from the previous books

I liked the first two books to an extent but here Callum felt robotic for more than 50% of the book and kind of self absorbed which I guess was his character development arc but I just didn't like how he seemed to do full 180s at the snap of a finger. And I understand, partially what he went through but seemed overly over dramatic during the pregnancy conflict and his reasons seemed shallow and a little not well fleshed out. It completely contradicted with his general behaviour towards Kaia. And he didn't even talk about Anita and his trauma in a proper extent and usually, there are flashbacks and nightmares which would have helped connect better with the characters.

Kaia was definitely the better one. But even for her,she didn't even have the same boldness or personality she had when Callum first wanted to be her patron and we didn't get to see much of her thoughts during the whole pregnancy thing which made her feel detached and clique oriented.

Lucas was kinda perfect and much better than Callum. And I liked him a hundred times more.

Manon was one of my favs in this book too. Felt so much well written then the main couple which is why I might check out her and Lucas's book later on.
