Didn't like as much as I thought I would. Some parts were very beautifully written, some parts  stuck with me, while others had an odd tone.
No structure or overarching story, just vibes.

Meh. I don’t think I get where gornick is going with this one, too fragmented for my liking.

Alguien tiene que entenderlo, no es tan complicado; y al final del día, alguien lo hace.

I love the way this book is structured, the way it rolls on and on, slowly carving a space in your mind. I enjoyed the factual/historical anecdotes and things Gornick has learnt in her life. Her observations on social conventions and society at large were often relatable (sometimes grotesquely so) and sometimes a little disappointing. Anyway, I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about the perspective and lessons of the flaneur.
