This was the cutest collection of stories. Book people really are built different lol. Makes me want to work at a book store or library

I had no idea if I'd enjoy this but flew through it in less than a day. Fascinating, funny, Poignant stories of librarians and booksellers making connections, fighting censorship, teaching people of all ages to love reading.

Very generous 3***

I have to admit that I’ve never read any of Patterson’s novels.
The chapters or whatever you want to call them were all very same-y.
There’s no clue about how this book came about. Did they reach out to these librarians and booksellers, advertise?
Did they write their own texts? Did the authors rewrite them? Did they use AI?
And why was there only one segment from California and nothing from Oregon (thinking of Powell’s in Portland and some cool LA bookstores).
