A feel good book that gives you hope for humanity at a time when book bans seem to invade every sacred safe space. The stories started blurring together after a while. Could’ve done with a handful less stories to pack more of a punch. It was still very enjoyable though.

The concept is intriguing and each person’s story is motivating and inspiring. I didn’t like that they all sounded similar in narrative style - including written in present tense even when talking about the past. Yay for all of theses bookish people - you make the world a better place.

Loved reading the stories of so many book readers - it was a lovely and delightful read.  I got a little laugh out of the shoutouts that JP gave to himself.

Audiobook on Libby

I loved this book! I loved hearing all the stories from real book sellers and librarians around the country. Maybe I should work at a library.

DID NOT FINISH

I wanted to like it but the stories just all felt the same, and after awhile I just didn’t want to spend the time to finish them all.

This was a really lovely book of short personal stories all about the love of books. I did think James Patterson was mentioned too many times given he's one of the authors. It felt like a James Patterson ad at times. But otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Great read sharing short stories of those that love books the most. Heartfelt and moving while also funny and interesting.

4.5/5

Super insightful book. Furthered my resolve to work with books. I think the book could have been shorter because by the end I was wondering when it would be done.
