Large and bright illustrations for toddlers. Interesting rhyme collections

I love the idea behind this book, favourite nursery rhymes paired with toddler-friendly illustrations, however I don't the concept really worked for me. With one whole nursery rhyme to each image, there wasn't enough visual imagery to complement the rhymes. So much could have been done with these, if perhaps there had been three or four illustrations per rhyme. Additionally I found the pictures to be quite difficult to see, possibly due to the lack of outlines to the shapes and no white space. For tots learning words and shapes, it might have been more helpful to have much clearer images.

It's been awhile since I have seen a book that looks at classic nursery rhymes. They seem to be forgotten. This book hopefully helps these tales make a resurgence. While I knew most of the rhymes, there were some new one which was nice. Some of the nursery rhymes have more stanzas then are listed and I wished they had included them all.
