Beneath His Robes by SK Pryntz is a non HEA dark romance. This is MM romance and so beautifully written I devoured it in a day. I have already read it twice. I could not put this book down. SK Pryntz writes a beautiful and deeply emotional book that grips the reader from beginning to end. The story has a well written plot with characters you will adore.
The main characters consist of a priest and his childhood best friend. Knowing this you already know it is a taboo romantic tragedy. Ronan is our priest not only is having deep feelings for your best friend Elias taboo but especially when he is the same gender. You can feel all the tension building out of control throughout the book.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a beautiful love tragedy. Enjoy every book by this author and can not wait for more.

I must confess, I’m still shocked. I finished this book last night and somehow missed the fact that this is a tragedy with NO HEA.
We are introduced to Elias and Ronan, who were childhood best friends until a threat from Ronan’s stepfather changed everything. Both cope with their loss in a similar way—at least initially. Fortunately for Elias, the spiral stops after a life-changing incident leads him to find God. When they meet again after 10 years, the tension between them is unbearable, and the past remains unforgettable.
This is a story full of emotions, desire, hurt, and self-doubt, but it also contains numerous triggers. So, make sure to read the trigger warnings thoroughly and be prepared: this is a tragedy, and it does not have a happily ever after.
