LOVED this book. Really exciting, the romance/sexual tension was fun, and the sex scenes were STEAMY. And also well-written. I love that Violet is disabled and they make accommodations for her. That’s not something I’ve ever seen in fantasy before. Also, I like how she handles when Xaden tells her not to fall in love with him. She told him he doesn’t get to dictate her feelings, and is honest with him that she’s pretty sure they’re both headed in that direction. She takes agency and responsibility for herself in a really admirable way.

I love this book from beginning to end. This was my first book to enter into the fantasy park of reading and excited I started with it. I love that this book didn’t have a full moment from beginning to end with some parts keeping you at your toes. One this I enjoy was the growth on violet and happy that she was forced into the riders quadrant. Then let me tell you about the men in this book they were all something some freaking annoying that you want to smack through the book and others that you just want to kiss them. Another favorite this about this book was the dragons I think they were the topping to the cake.

“Hope is a fickle, dangerous thing. It steals your focus and aims it toward the possibilities instead of keeping it where it belongs—on the probabilities.”

No, I don't have anything to say in my defense.
