This is the second book in a row that I've read recently that wound up following two different couples on their way to love, this one focusing on twin brothers finding their significant others.
Couple #1 is Bo and Tosca. Theirs is a more of a romantic suspense kind of story, so we get that kind suspenseful and dramatic read. Couple #2 is Hank and Joquell, and they're a kind of opposites attract story. These two different styles made for a very disharmonious read! The suspense plot was left on a cliffhanger, and Hank and Joquell have a happy for now ending. It felt like nothing was resolved!
Tosca was pretty stupid, in my opinion. She starts out naive and just devolves into utter stupidity. There are rules to being in Witness Protection for a reason, yet she just blatantly ignores them to try and hold on to her old life.
I also really hated Hank! He was such a jerk, becoming even more snooty than Joquell and her parents were, all because they were more well to do than he was. He also took events much harder than he needed to, as if he was having a temper tantrum every time something didn't go his way or how he thought they should have.
Joquell felt like a non entity to me, I was mostly ambivalent to her, but I did really like Bo! He was the most realistic of the characters, and the easiest to connect to. I thought he was a great hero for Tosca, and a view of what Hank could be like. I did like seeing how things were progressing with Karissa and Mason.
Looking toward the next book in the series, it seems to focus more on Bo and Tosca, so I do think I'll be reading it at some point. I do hope it will be better than this one!

A nice clean read. Like-able characters and a good story line. The whole Witness Protection story-line is very interesting and lends itself well to the story - how much of your secrets can you reveal? I would have given it 4 stars, but didn't like the ending at all. The events leading up to the end of the book suggested a whole different ending in my mind and also left me with a lot more questions as to the "how did he find them?" angle.
I am seriously hoping that there is a follow up to this story that resolves the Bo and Margot/Tosca story-line and ties up all the loose ends there.
