This book started out and was mostly a slow read throughout, but that doesn't mean it's not a gem of a find.

Love and Gelato was a nice light summer romance. Lina's mom just passed and she's forced to go to Italy (as if you'd have to force me). She's confronted with the existence of her mother's journal from the time she also lived in Italy and tries to figure out what really happened with her mothers adventures all those years ago. Enter Ren, the nice guy, the friend, the guy you don't really realize you're in love with until it's already happened. These two go on escapades all over the city, and further, to follow in Lina's mothers footsteps.

At first I thought this book was moving too slow for me. It wasn't until I was over half way through the book that I realized that I just didn't want to put the book down. It wasn't crazy exciting or anything that kept me on the edge of my seat but I did especially love the family aspect the book took on at the end. Adventures in a gorgeous city, beautiful people, and an excess of Gelato (you can never go wrong)

I was most definitely Team Howard and Team Ren from the moment I met them. If you don't want a book that's too much of a heavy read and has a beautiful setting, Love and Gelato is for you.

I loved the book so much. It was so enjoyable to read. However the only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because it started off very slow then it picked up.

Uma narrativa romântica, com autodescobertas importantes, o encontro do primeiro amor, e algumas decepções marcantes. Daria uma excelente discussão de gênero e identidade. Gostei.

Loved this book! It was super cute. I loved all the little bits of Italian and all the different locations mentioned. I truly felt immersed in the book. Definitely going to read Love and Luck and Love and Olives as well
