One thing about this series is that I love Shimizu and Seki's friendship, Seki would do anything to take care of Shimizu, including fighting his own trauma to save himfrom a fire . It's unclear what ends up happening to Shimizu and that's such a shame, I would have loved getting answers. Now, onto our main couple, Punpun and Aiko are still trying to run from the police , they're going deep into the mountains and Aiko realizes Punpun brought them there so he could kill her since his name hasn't been mentioned by the police yet . She then stabs him in the chest and he somehow keeps going with his life?? I wish he'd die but it appears he could be immortal. Oh, also, I need to mention that after she stabs him they end up fucking in the mountains cause apparently it's the thing to do . Aiko ends up killing herself one night and Punpun carries her corpse around for a little bit until he entrusts her body to two kids. Then Punpun stabs himself in the eye and gets saved by Sachi who then lives with him and has him taking care of her daughter . One thing I really enjoyed is the ending being a direct parallel of the beginning of the series, when Aiko transfered to Punpun's school but with Sachi's daughter this time and a boy taking interest in her. I just hope she won't meet the same fate . The last three volumes weren't bad and it's such a shame I had to read all that to get here, it was not worth it at all.

I want to give Punpun a big hug, but alas! life is so harsh to the point that one hug won't make it any easier, it could make it bearable. life is unique for every single human being, but at the same time there's so much similarities that make life like a cycle that repeats itself over and over again. When we grow up and become adults do we become different from who we were when we were kids, or we stay the same essentially?
This series really leaves you wondering with so much questions to be answered.

This could be read as a cautionary tale, a journey to discover oneself. a tale of a history that repeats itself. a cursed tale. a love story. The characters are relateable yet also cautionary. We're meant to sympathize and relate to them and be wary of them and learn our lesson from them.

Inio Asano en estado puro. Ahora me tengo que recuperar, pero ha merecido la pena el viaje. Este tomo ha sido increíble.

El mejor tomo de todos indudablemente.
Empecé esta historia con muchas ganas, devorando los tomos uno tras otro, pero llegó un punto en el que, para mi gusto, la trama decayó. Mejoró bastante con la reaparición de Aiko, pero ha sido en los dos últimos tomos, donde siento que esta historia brilla de verdad.
A medida que leía, no podía ni imaginar qué clase de final tendría Buenas noches Punpun, pero ha llegado un momento en este último tomo en el que me ha quedado clarísimo cuál sería su final, final que me ha gustado mucho, pero a la vez me ha dejado un sabor agridulce en la boca por Aiko; creo que Aiko merecía mucho más.
Una buena forma de definir el final es que la vida es un ciclo, y hay cosas que acaban repitiéndose una y otra vez sin que podamos hacer nada para evitarlo. La vida sigue, con o sin nosotros.
Al final, he acabado desarrollando más cariño por esta historia del que creía. Ha sido un buen primer acercamiento a las obras de Inio Asano.

En realidad a la serie en total le doy un 3'5, teniendo en cuenta el desenlace y las distintas subtramas.
Me da un poco de miedo puntuar este manga a la baja en base a todas las opiniones que tiene. Quizás por expectativas previas, quizás por no ser el momento adecuado, esta obra no ha acabado de hacer mella en mí.
Hay elementos de toda esta historia que no me han convencido y que hubiera preferido que no estuvieran, como todo lo que tiene que ver con la trama de la secta. No he acabado de entender el sentido de la misma y de ahí que no me convenciera.
Por otra parte, ha habido desarrollos de personajes que no me han convencido.
Aún así, la trama general me parece buena y hay mensajes relacionados con la transición a la adultez, las relaciones familiares y el perdón, el sentir que no encajas o el no saber qué hacer con tu vida que me han parecido muy bien transmitidos. Hay que reconocer que es una obra que a pesar de su densidad en algunos momentos, engancha.

Probably the most gut-wrenching manga I've ever read but I really really enjoyed it. I related a lot to Seki as a character and I deeply felt for punpun throughout the whole story.
I'm not sure I understood it all (there is a specific part I didn't care for that much) but I think I'll carry this story in my heart for a long time.
The ending at first felt like a warm hug to me, but after reading into it a little more I realize that it was meant to be the complete opposite of that. I guess I need to explore all of its layers better but I'm not ready for a re-read yet!
