McNee is a masterful writer. Seamlessly blending modern profanity and sass with the Tudor setting. I loved hearing her as the narrator, with the delivery being exactly as she imagined. This is everything I could have wanted in a witchy book and more. I’m a firm lover of stand-alone novels, but I want more of this little coven!

I loved so much about this book. It was witty and clever and fun, but the ending felt so out of the blue, so massively unresolved to me. No denouement whatsoever, which I found deeply unsatisfying. Overall, I definitely enjoyed and recommend this book, but for me, the ending was weak.
