LOVED the narration by the author Amie McNee. The book was entertaining, informative and fascinating and Amie McNee did such a great job narrating- I really enjoyed learning about the time period that the story took place in, and found Maude to be a refreshing main character.

Cranky, foul mouthed, stuck-up, selfish Maude, not what I expected our heroine to be like, but loved that this was her nature.

I was sad when it ended. Speaking of ending, I'm giving this 4 stars because I thought the book ended a little abruptly but overall I liked the book. Will look for more books by the author, hopefully in audiobook format.

If you’re about to put this down unfinished because you’ve had it with this awful girl and her desperation to win the approval of her awful family…keep going. There’s character development.
