I’ve read this book a million times since I was a child, and I always love it. A great easy read with a fascinating story. A good choice for adults and youth alike.

I am not having any luck with books lately. I was so excited for this book hut it was so short and I felt like a lot of things weren’t answered in the end and the characters weren’t fully developed.

The book is great for kids, with simple themes that are not too scary but might be for some more nervous kids.

Perhaps this is another example of my complicated relationship with magical realism. I really enjoyed the beautiful simplicity of this book
