It's a great companion to the RWBY series. It gives a great insight on the goings on in the other kingdoms while our team is on the other side of the world. The kingdom of Vacuo is fleshed out in a way that really puts everything into perspective.

I hadn't heard or read anything about RWBY before picking this audiobook before. I enjoyed the story but wasn't a new favorite and not quite intrigued to continue on with the series

This book was amazing! As a RWBY fan this was something that really helped expand the world and show us what Vacuo was like, something many fans have been wondering ever since we heard about it. I enjoyed being able to focus on Team CFVY as they became one that many people were intrigued by ever since they first appeared in Volume 2 (Except for Velvet who appeared in Volume 1). It also provided a look as to how other teams were after the Fall of Beacon. The interactions amongst the team and seeing their growth was written so well! The flashback chapters to their time at Beacon were also lovely to see, especially showing their interactions with Team RWBY (And a little Team JNPR) shows us that they were closer than we saw in the show. The books had a couple twists and OMG moments that kept me sucked in and the ending of the book does an amazing job setting it up for the second one.

So, if you are a RWBY fan and want to know more about Team CFVY, Vacuo, or the issues brewing in Vacuo then I HIGHLY suggest you read this book!
