So good. I fell in love with the main characters. The ending is perfectly set up for a sequel, so there better be one. I have to know what happens to the lovebirds. 10/10

While the content of the bit I read was YA level the writing felt more middle grade.

There's nothing really new or original about THE WILD LANDS, but it's still a compelling post-apocalyptic page-turner. The characters are sympathetic, the plot is exciting, and the prose is strong. Greci writes vividly of Alaska, creating an atmospheric setting that can be deeply felt throughout the novel. The ending is satisfying, but leaves a lot of questions that could easily lead to a sequel. While this isn't my favorite novel of its type, I found it an engrossing read.

Fun to read a teen survival post apocalypse book set in Alaska and written by somebody who actually knows about Alaska.

The writing is not my favorite. So much of this book I skimmed....but I didn't put it down. I just needed to know what happened. The characters are all so genuine and the story moves so quickly that even if the writing style doesn't work for you, the book grabs you and doesn't let go.

Great for older fans of The Hatchet, or The Hunger Games

Talk about "male savior" complex. Yikes.
