The best book I have ever read. Morrison accomplished in a little over 300 pages, distillations of the feelings of shame, trauma, and resiliency that it would take anyone a few lifetimes to describe. This is one of the finest works of literature in the history of writing.

Incredible read. Took my full attention every time I picked it up, which I was grateful for. Truly just asserts itself full force page after page. Morrison and Beloved deserve every praise they've received.

4.5 ⭐ A book riddled with complexities, I read this book really slowly in order to understand it better. But upon doing this it felt quite dull, monotonous and oftentimes difficult ; this book is only a 4 ⭐ reading experience, although it would totally be a 5 ⭐ book to study. It has stuck with me for months, I know this will stick with me for life - you'll never forget this book once you read it.
