I can’t stop reading them which is always a good sign.
I am continuing to devour this series - I could not put this down. Every character in this series has multiple dimensions and I have enjoyed getting to know more about the world. The plot is getting more and more complicated, and I have so many questions and theories - but that ending was really something else. I hope my questions get answered in book 3!

This DEFINITELY gives middle book, nothing happens, everything is building to the next one, but I LOVED it?
The new perspective that pops up is SO intriguing, and the reveal at the end is WILD. Can’t WAIT to pick up the next one.

So I started this book while I was on my "honeymoon" in Boston, my poor husband would wake up to me expressing all the emotions in the middle of the night like a little gremlin. Why? Because MKR really did the thing. She wrote a fantasy that sucked me in the same way Throne of Glass did. And I hadnt experienced that kind of vast emotion since ToG. Scarlett? Love her. The world building? Ate it up. The Fire Court? Yes please.
I think I said this in my last review of LoD, but this world is the perfect balance imo of world building, slow burn enemies to lovers, with tension and good fantasy. It makes it easy to get into the world the MKR is setting the foundation for.
And like yes are these books big, of course. But they dont feel like it when you're invested and eating up the juicy details. This book also had some really relatable quotes on healing and self growth.
"True strength, Lady of Darkness, is being brave in the hard seasons. True strength is getting back up one more time. True strength is believing you were made for such a time as this and fighting against all odds. True strength is having hope even when the stars go out."
That really wrecked me. Like respectfully in the best way. It was exactly what I needed to hear at the time and to see Scarlett such a badass FMC need to hear that too.. that is part of the magic MKR is serving us.
