I thought the book was pretty boring. All the side characters are a lot more interesting than our main ones. Scarlett and Soren kind of drive me nuts. lol.
However, the ending has me super intrigued for book 3!

i cannot. there has to be ACOTAR/TOG fanfiction better than this!
i was hoping there would be something in the second book to make this series more original but it only got worse. the writing remains unbearable.

A great follow up to Lady of Darkness!
Scarlett has grown so much and dealt with so much more! Poor thing needs a vacation. She still holds her cards close but is slowly opening to Sorin and his Court.
Soirn is everything! He is patient, yet willing to push her when he needs to. He sees her and her darkness, yet doesn't back down. He will always come for her!
Callin was fine. I just wanted more than pinning for Scarlett. I hope to see more from him in book three.
The plot is getting more complicated but in a good way. So much happens in the book, yet not too overwhelming! I'm so invested!
Again I highly recommend this book!

It's impossible to read this book and not mention the striking similarities between many of the characters, their dynamics, and parts of the plot with SJM's ACOTAR series. However, I felt there were enough differences between the two that I could separate them in my head and enjoy the book as/on its own.
This book was significantly better than the first in this series, and the cliffhanger ending has me looking forward to continuing it.

homegirl really over uses the terms “vulgar gesture” and “bundle of nerves” but other than that, excellent plot
