Book 2 was also great. It was a little slow in places. At times it seemed all that was happening was trying to figure out what was happening. I am looking forward to book 3.

the first 60% of this was 1* but the last 40% was 4* so i guess this is an average?? not even close to being as good as the first book

Lady of Shadows was book 2 of the Lady of Darkness series. I don’t like this cover as much as book one but I love that the entire series is available on KU.

In book 2, we get to see Scarlett’s power grow and change. I still find Scarlett slightly annoying and too impulsive, but I enjoyed this book.

**Spoilers**
I don’t like that Scarlett still keeps so many secrets from Sorrin even though they are twin flames. Most of the secrets are also kept from the reader which can be fine but it makes things a little too convenient.

This series was one I originally saw on TikTok and I’m so glad I gave it a chance.
