I was not expecting to like this one as much as I did. The main characters are really cute together though and I loved how there was also some focus on other important relationships like Mallory's family.

I kind knew going in to this one that I might not like it but wanted to try for bookclub! Sooooooo boring for me. I made it to pg 60. I’m out.

ali hazelwood truly never misses.

nolan is an absolute king.

that’s all.

A classic Ali Hazelwood novel for me - a little slow to get started but once it's started I will punch anyone in the fact that tries to interrupt me while I'm reading! Haha. I didn't really think this was very YA, it was more than the Ali Hazelwood novels you're used to reading except fade to black and without any explicit sex scenes. Maybe new adult? My favorite part by far, though, was getting to delve into the world of competitive chess and the #girlpower aspect of it all - 10/10 would recommend!
