Ali you’re too powerful. Joy too effervescent.
Your swag too whimsy. Your bitch is too bad. The publishers will kill you, Ali.

This book made me so incredibly angry. I was so aggravated that second half

i really liked the chess plots, nolan, and darcy… but omg did sabrina bother me and mal kinda sucked at times. overall, everyone had moments of suckage but it was a cute easy read

DNFed on page 121. I'll tell you why when I get my computer back !

03/05/2024 : I got my computer back but don't remember well what I didn't like then :/ All I remember was the novel was too YA style (the bad way) : stubborn main character with a secret, awful little sisters (including one that liked farting in her face.....), that and the fact that the "hero" looked like a carbon copy of the guy in "The love hypothesis". Maybe I wasn't in the mood. Maybe I'll be some other time and I'll try reading it again because of all the rage about this book. Maybe not.

This was fabulous. So great. I ate this up. The tension between Nolan and Mallory. The chess rivalry. The family aspects and the lovable little sisters of Mallory - just so hard not to love these characters and root for them until the final page. Love!

I remember reading the blurb for this book like a year ago and making fun of it with a friend… kinda made me eat my words
