probably like 3.5 stars but rounding up. okay. this book was fun and cute and I enjoyed it. don’t get me wrong. but like, i just feel like the main character was sooo much more immature than ali hazelwood’s other mcs. like it’s labeled as YA so i guess it makes sense but damn I feel like all of her internal conflicts could’ve been fixed by .. like .. one honest and mature conversation with the people in her life. i get that sometimes that’s needed for like conflict and tension and stuff, but it was just kind of frustrating to read

3.5 ⭐️! i loved the whole book. the chemistry between the main characters, their back stories, all of it. it was so close to being a 5 star read for me just from the vibes of the book but i wish there was another chapter or two to the book. i wish the championship match was written out instead of an article reading at the end!

[3.5 ⭐️]

Veryyyy confused on what qualifies as YA cause this is definitely not it. I feel like overall not a lot happened in this book but the bits of romance we did get were cute. As usual the 3rd act breakup was stupid and pointless.

Also, I would be thoroughly creeped out if I guy I'd never really had a full conversation with showed up at my house and stayed for dinner??
