Okay, there may be a small audience for this one, but I found it very illuminating. Along with Thomas Kuhn's "The Structure of Scientific Revolution", all scientists & engineers should read this to gain an understanding of what science really is: a consensus opinion among often-competing views, one which can explain observations and predict new ones. Simply said, science has very little to do with truth, objective or otherwise, and is subject to the same human failings as any other enterprise. This book shows the process in all its ugly splendor.
