I usually enjoy this series. This book was painful to read for me. I kept reading, hence the 3 stars, but I skipped over a lot of it. Very predictable if you've read other books in the series and the story arcs didn't seem to fit together as well as usual.

Not a bad one, as these ones go, but the state of preservation if the final ship wreck was hard to swallow (yes, more than usual). Summer gets the short stick too, brother getting almost all the good action parts...

The adventures of Dirk Pitt are always fascinating. I love how Cussler staged this one in a way that is believable and entertaining. You won’t be disappointed.

A tremendously garbled novel. Too much going on at once, and thus no storyline was really dealt with at any point. Uhgh.

Shallow, standard action thriller. Would make a better film.

Pretty good! It's Clive Cussler, so yeah, it's a lot like most of his other work with Dirk Pitt in it, but Pitt, the elder, shows more emotion in this one, which is interesting. I'm not used to it, but I can handle that. :) Not much more to say, really. If you like Clive Cussler, you'll like this, too. Good, old-fashioned adventure with a healthy splash of history and archaeology. It's right up my alley.
