The writing is incredible, the last third of the book is a bit slow but I powered through and the ending was great

Holy shit. The first like two thirds are admittedly dense and tough to get through but I love the way Clark writes. She’s so funny!!!!!! Once I got to the last quarter of the book I couldn’t stop. Norrell is one of the most frustrating characters of all time (positive). Childermass fucking rules. I would have loved a bit more of an epilogue for Lady Pole but alas.

Minus .25 for the sad ending, otherwise a perfect book. It's been a long time since I've felt the need to strangle a character the way I wanted to strangle Mr Norrell.
