Uhh hmm… I should really start reading a synopsis or something of books before reading them. Within the first 25 pages, so many inexplicable things happen and I was rolling my eyes pretty hard. I know this is all about ~Christmas Magic~ but all I could think about was how toxic her sister and ex were and how I just didn’t care all that much for the main characters.

This was a short book all about grief, forgiveness, family, and love. It wasn’t really a Christmas book- as I had expected from the cover- and I wasn’t quite anticipating the magic/fairytale aspect of it.
But overall, Hannah’s writing was good, the characters were compelling, and I enjoyed the story & its ending. I did have to get past the various “plot holes” and look at this one more as an unbelievable fairy tale, than a novel.

Very different! I thought the entire first half I knew she couldn't have walked away from the crash.

This book was ... interesting. Not a good interesting. The only reason it has 3 stars is because it's Kristin Hannah. I don't know if this was time travel or paranormal.

How did Joy even get to the "cabin", "lodge", etc. She was in a coma. Did her spirit leave her body when the explosion happened? Did the explosion even happen? Was she found unconscious in her seat? I just have so many questions.

Thankfully this was a short read. I do feel bad for Joy that her sister had an affair with her husband and then ended up marrying him. But how Joy goes off to find this boy & man, not knowing if they are real! So unrealistic, but this is FICTION.
