Wolfhunter River

This series is so dark in nature, but that's part of why I love it; it can be upsetting to see how the internet treats Gwen and her family, but in that way it is also extremely realistic. Stillhouse Lake has explored a lot across two books, and Wolfhunter River takes the series in a completely new direction. There are around three interlinked plot points/mysteries which are tied together in the end. The arc involving Sam was well done; thought perhaps it had a weak conclusion. The ending felt a little rushed, and I think more time could've been taken to explore the conflict between all the various villains especially as they were all revealed late in the book. I wasn't aware that there were going to be more books in this series but that gives me something to look forward to!

This wasn't as good as the first books in the series but I still enjoyed it! Most of the excitement doesn't happen until halfway through the book.

I'm fully committed and immersed in this series. I've pre-ordered the last 2 books, and currently have the next one pre-ordered...not so patiently waiting.

Gwen Proctor is being stalked by her dead ex-husband, Melvin Royal, his loyal followers, as well as everyone who believes that Gwen isn't innocent in the things that Melvin did to his victims. The family is never safe.

I love this series. It's fantastic. This was a NetGalley find for me back when Stillhouse Lake #1 came out. Die hard fan ever since.

Another great book in the Stillhouse Lake series! Poor Gwen and the fam can’t seem to catch a break, but it makes for an engaging story! It’s hard not to root for Gwen and Sam, and I’ll definitely be continuing this series to see where it goes.

This is definitely my least favourite out if the three.

Reading this makes me wish I gave the other two a higher rating.

This book just wasn't the same. The writing was a little but different and the there was no need for the added POVs of Lanny and Connor.

The story itself wasn't as exciting as the previous two. It turned into a vigilante type that I don't know how to feel about. Based on the epilogue it's the angle the author is going to go with. I understand that they need to Gwens past at some point but I don't know who I feel about this angle.

I just felt as through the magic just wasn't there in this book. Everythjng was solved through the deaths of the bad guys which I thought was a little bit too convinent and a cop-out. It's a shame though because I really liked the first too books.

I'll continue with the series because I do want to see where it's going so I hope it gets better.

***I received an ARC from Netgalley.com.***

This concluded the Stillwater Lake trilogy and what an ending!! With all the twists and turns of the first two books, Wolfhunter River did not disappoint. It was emotional, frustrating and terrifying in its reality and, in my view, concludes the story in a very satisfying way. If you loved Stillwater Lake, don't miss the ending!!
