I’m a little bit bothered that a character who should have had great importance in this story didn’t get a whole lot of attention. It almost felt as if they were just thrown in to give the story a little more... drama?
I don’t know. Wolfhunter River is probably my least favorite of the three- I felt it kind of strayed from the original two books. The storyline was ok, but not as anxiety inducing or nail biting as the first two.
I wouldn’t say this book is essential to read- I’d have been happy ending the series after book 2, but it’s not a bad read

I finished Wolfhunter River last night. After Killman Creek, I wasn’t sure how there’d be a third book in the series, but I was excited for it! I have a feeling these would make great audiobooks (I read the ebooks), and I’d be first in line for the movies. This one was a little different and I I liked the two twisted storylines coming together. The action and suspense is unreal, terrifying, and consuming. No one talk to me while I’m reading.

This can be read as a stand-alone because Caine does a nice job recapping the previous novels, but don’t do that to yourself. Start at the beginning with Stillhouse Lake & fall in love with Gwen, Sam, Lanny, and Connor. I looove the badass characters and I’ll miss them! This book definitely felt like it had closure too, but I’d be on board for a continuation of Gwen’s story.

This is the 3rd book in the series about a woman who was married to serial killer and how she and her family deal with that stigma. I really like this series and the path that the main character, Gwen Proctor takes. In this book Gwen, her partner Sam and her two kids head to a rural community when a local woman reached out and asked Gwen for help. By the time they get there a murder has already happened and the local police want nothing to do with Gwen or what she might know. I love Rachel Cain's writing and am excited to start Bitter Falls soon!

Definitely some interesting twists with this book that keep the story going, though this is probably my least favorite of the series so far. I however, like with the last one, want to know what more is to come. Thank goodness for kindle unlimited and having the whole series for me to consume lol.

Not as exciting as the first couple.. ( need sadistic husband ) but I'll continue on..
