This series quickly became my Roman Empire. I knew from the first book that I was going to fall in love, I knew by this book one of the pivotal points for the NEXT book. I did not hate that I figured it out, either. Because the writing was so exquisitely done, and the story was so captivating. I adored this, from beginning to end.

Kingdom of the Cursed is an exceptional follow-up to Kingdom of the Wicked. The shift to a New Adult tone is immediately apparent from the first chapter, bringing a fresh layer of depth to the story. The book delves into themes and relationships with increased maturity and complexity compared to the first book.
I absolutely loved the tension between Emilia and Wrath, which added a thrilling edge to their interactions. Their dynamic is charged with an electrifying blend of conflict and attraction that keeps the reader hooked. My earlier suspicions about Wrath’s true identity were confirmed in this book, and this revelation introduces a fascinating twist to his character.
While some plot twists were predictable, they were skillfully integrated into the narrative, allowing the reader to anticipate developments before the protagonist does. In summary, Kingdom of the Cursed is a thrilling and satisfying read that builds on the strengths of Kingdom of the Wicked. It offers a compelling continuation of the series.

🐍Forced proximity

🐍 slow-burning romance
🐍"who dun it?"
I devoured page after page as Emilia investigated Vittoria's death and learned more about the lore. I enjoyed her and Wrath playing detectives and their banter. There were times when I got frustrated with her, like going on a dangerous quest without a weapon?! Or stepping out, and not making sure she always has a moon-blessed chalk or any form of self-defense. And speaking of frustrating, the most annoying of all, Nonna. She is the embodiment of exasperation in this book! How could you not prepare the twins for this very important event? Anyway, this book is very much a stepping stone for the next books, laying the foundation for books 2 & 3

loved the first one, but holy hell this put me in a bad slump
I have high expectations for volume 3!

This book is definitely my favourite out of the two so far. Getting to explore the underworld and have more questions answered has been fun.
I would say somethings are predictable but there was one that I wasn’t expecting that was revealed in the last 5% of the book which I can’t get over.
The yearning in this book has been fun and fleshed out for us to explore with Emilia and wrath. It’s good that things weren’t rushed for them.
Overall I’m having a fun time reading this series which is why it’s been rated as high
