It took me longer to get through this one than the first .I did enjoy the expansion of the two main characters relationship but the end reveal had me wondering what was the point of any of this. I am undecided if I will finish the series

This series quickly became my Roman Empire. I knew from the first book that I was going to fall in love, I knew by this book one of the pivotal points for the NEXT book. I did not hate that I figured it out, either. Because the writing was so exquisitely done, and the story was so captivating. I adored this, from beginning to end.
This book is amazing, if not only for the pure intense amount of slow burn that I have never experienced before. And even at the end of the book it finishes on a slow burn, gotta wait another year to find out if they ACTUALLY bang this time. Some parts of the book got me a little confused, I think I finished the book more confused then I started but equally I’m definitely wanting to read the next book so I can get closure (I hope) on the two book slowburn we’ve had and also to figure out wtf happened with Vittoria
