27. I think I’m giving up on this series. It’s just not quite making it for me. Whenever I think it’s getting good it’s just misses the mark. I don’t think the characters are well developed and neither are the relationships. I don’t feel attached to anyone? I feel like Emilia and Wrath’s relationships with the other sins could be explored better.
Not bad for a romantasy. Full of its typical tropes though so if you hate them, I’d pass

This sequel picks up immediately where Kingdom of the Wicked ended—right in the middle of that huge cliffhanger—so you're thrown straight back into the tension as Emilia and Wrath journey to Hell. The world-building expands as we’re introduced to the other Princes of Hell and several intriguing new characters.
It’s clear that Maniscalco is transitioning the series from YA to New Adult with a noticeable shift in tone and more explicit scenes.
The book is darker and filled with court intrigue. While some twists were easy to guess, others genuinely caught me off guard, especially near the end with an even bigger cliffhanger than the first book.
