A small town family man, liked by all, happens to be a serial killer and has kept a woman in his shed for the past five years while going about his normal life in the house with his family.

This was told through three POV's, which kept the story moving nicely and gave you different perspectives of the man. You heard from the woman in the shed, his 13 year old daughter, and a woman he's began to see, Emily.

I liked this concept, I hated Emily, and the ending fell short for me, I wanted more information!!!

Spolier thoughts:

Spoiler
I genuinely couldn't stand Emily, she was ecstatic to just be picking up Adain's bare minimum breadcrumbs and thought he walked on water. The way she described their very mediocre and minimal interactions was very middle school. Her internal thoughts about "I wanted to say 'I loved it, but that is far too close to 'I love you'..." Girl, what?! You've BARELY dated this man, and know nothing about him.....I'm honestly surprised she didn't continue dating Adain once he was arrested.

The ending where she went to see Rachel, and asked for a hug? WHAT? Why? You're still so obsessed with this man that you need to be connected to the woman he kidnapped and held hostage for years?! I don't understand why that was the ending. I do wish the ending would have gotten into more of the motive, maybe a POV from Adain. What did the daughter think after she found out? Was there a pattern in the women he kidnapped? ... I NEEDED MORE!
