I could never forget the form or face of this snowman from when I was little. I remember building one so similar when it actually snowed something like several feet and my sister and I were staying with Nana and Papa. Ours was shaped similarly but she was more like a female companion. This was one of the only snowmen then and now that don’t tick me off.

I saw him on someone’s feed and got a warm feeling and said, “Oh, I remember you..”

(Read with little sister as part of the "1,001 Children's Books To Read")

A very unique story with zero words yet the illustrator was very grand about explaining the plot of the story. Pretty cute.

This is a children’s picture book that is entirely wordless. It tells the story of a young boy who builds a snowman and he and the snowman go on many different adventures together.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I expected. There are other wordless stories that are more compelling

The shot of the snowman in suspenders always made me laugh as a child! What a wonderful wonderful book!

Along with the Christmas decorations stored in the room under our basement stairs there’s a carton full of Christmas books, books that my dad would read to me and my brother every December. I remember turning through the pages even when my dad wasn’t there to read it for me, I’d just look at the pictures and smile. I’ve never seen a snowman look like that, or have a clementine for a nose. Now I must make one! I love this book and I love Christmas and I love every single panel of this! It fills me with such a deep sense of nostalgia and deja vu it feels as if I’ve discovered one of the best works of art in the entire world, one that looks directly into your soul and says “hello!”. And this might just be the best work of art the world has ever seen! Ohhhh I love this book!
