I rarely ever give one star reviews. This author wrote Upstairs,Downstairs so I figured this would be worth a try.
A Gilbert and Sullivan play is planned as a fundraiser. The cast bicker and the director has tantrums. Flirtation and jealousy makes rehearsals tense. Then one cast member is found murdered.
This is short little cozy British mystery. Unfortunately, the plot was terrible. Nearly a hundred pages of the book deals with the various aspects of putting on a play. Then the characters were always singing or quoting from the play instead of having actual dialogue. The other part of the book dealt with Dora and Rodney`s marital crisis and that left little time for the murder to happen and then get solved.
Sadly this one gets a D-
