ummmm you’d think from the premise this would be really good, idk how the author managed to make it boring… which is unfortunate because it was really intriguing. a lot of things happened but none of them were really impactful. there’s also a romance but it was kinda just told that it was happening, i had no idea it was even happening which is so funny. i almost dnf’d this with 15 pages left lmao

I would have preferred if it focused on the narrator's mother, keeping her collection of disappeared things. That part grabbed me, but it quickly loosened its grip.
