I was estatic to read this series by Samantha Young! It's a story about werewolves, whose origins are said to be related to Greek gods. The characters in this book are well-described, and they really shine with their respective personalities.

Promising beginning of the series with great plot and mythology, but totally frustrating and annoying romance! Caia and Lucien and their immature and childish behaviour made me take away two stars! I understand, that there must be some irritating characters, who act mostly unreasonably, but two protagonists - that's too much for me! I wasn't very impressed by the secondary characters too. On the positive side action was good and the book was eventful, but to really love a book first of all you must connect with the characters (at least most of them). I must take a break before reading the second and the third books of the series (what I've never done with other series ) in order to calm down and be able to tolerate Lucien and Caia's antics.

I had a hard time rating my review. The story kept me entertained and eager to keep reading, but I really didn't enjoy the female lead. I found her way too nave and immature for the character she needed to be. Her inability to accept Lucien's decisions (even if she was kept in the dark) riled me up. He was Pack Leader for a reason and she was very hot and cold. I loved the world building and I found myself being drawn to more than one of the supporting characters.

I found this book terribly difficult to follow..since it practically jumped into the storyline and dialogue without an introduction at all. So I did what I always do to uninteresting and uninformative books...I gave up without a second thought. :)

I really tried to like this book. I did. The plot was interesting but I didn't care for the writing style. It reads as if an inexperienced teen wrote it. Sigh.. well written werewolf novels are so hard to find. Too bad this was a disappointment too.

I wasn't really impressed with this. I didn't feel any sort of attachment to any of the characters. It was a good way to pass the time, but not something I'd divulge further in. I didn't think that it was bad, I just didn't think it was good as all the reviewers seem to think.

I'm struggling between two and three stars on this one, and I may change it later. In the first 30%, I repeatedly considered quitting this book, but I'm glad I didn't. It got good. I enjoyed it, but a lot of things bothered me about it too.

My problems were: (1) The pack Alpha turned into a pushover around the main character. Not sexy. (2) We've got pop culture to references to Spiderman and Underworld, but the main character feels the need to run across town, on two separate occasions, in the middle of the night to communicate with folks. And there's a witch who repeatedly travels back and forth between her people and the lykans to pass messages. Where are the mobile phones?! (3) The numerous grammatical errors and typos made me sad. :(

Despite my issues with it, I felt invested in the growing romantic relationship. I'll read the next book.

Before I go, I should add: I really enjoyed the sex scene. It was hot without being explicit, so it was appropriate for a mature YA book. Loved that scene!

The first 25% of this book I was very confused. There were at least 50 characters introduced and I couldn't keep track of anyone

So basically this is about a girl who is a lunarmorte (werewolf) but unbeknownst to her she is also has witchy powers. So her uncle wants to kill her because all this stuff happens, and there a love triangle, and there's Lucien who is really really attractive and some stuff goes down

I know this is a vague review but there's a lot of backstory to this!

Anyways I still really liked this book, towards the end there was a lot of action, and there was a lot of answers to my questions

The ending was so so but I think I would go on to continue the series

wow it's highly addictive. Caia is kept away from the pack for 10 years and when she rejoins she must adjust to being away for so long.
