Gritty. Comical but poignant. A striking metaphor for what it feels like to be a woman, fighting against societal norms and expectations, and living in our own bodies feeling like we are fighting against those too. A glorious werewolf story, but not just. A story about releasing the inner she wolf inside us all, about finding, and loving, ourselves through the chaos of life. A fucking fantastic read!

I was told this book features lgbt characters and I'd say just because a threesome is mentioned that doesn't count. I liked the horror in the beginning though, there's something about creature feature/animal attack based horror that strikes somewhere deeply primal within people.

Easy read, enjoyable characters. Would have loved it to go longer. It fits in my “wrapped up too neatly” category. Probably needs a sequel; I did read it as a one off.

A fun quick read, and an interesting take on werwolves. I liked the MC a lot and her growth, but I have so many questions about the magic and existence of magical creatures in this book. Nothing is ever answered which is disappointing.
