I think Adrienne Young is slowly turning into an auto read author for me. And this book did not disappoint. I love the way she writes! It’s so beautiful and rich and she can make you feel like you are right there in the woods next to her FMC.

I don’t fully understand why she loved Eamon? He was just a guy. That was there. And then love? Why? Show, don’t tell? 
That needed a workshop.
It struggled with pacing but overall was fine. Just fine though?

 The story started off really well, and I liked its mysterious atmosphere. But around the middle of the book, I started to lose interest and kept reading without much enthusiasm. Toward the end, it began answering the puzzles, but honestly, those parts weren’t that interesting to me either—especially because I felt they lacked proper logic.

As for the main idea of the story, I can’t say what it is because it would be a spoiler 🚶🏻‍♀️ Stories like this are generally complex, and just thinking about them can really twist your brain 😄 But as I said, I don’t think the author managed to wrap things up in a logically satisfying way. The romantic part of the book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t strong enough to make up for the weaknesses in the other sections...
