Another excellent volume. Satoko is such a cool character, and I love how fiercely she fought to stop her friend from jumping off that cliff. She reminds me a lot of Yoshino from Yakuza Fiancé -- they're both fighting an uphill battle against these really unhinged guys in their lives, but they know how to hold their own.

Another sweet and very dramatic volume! The relationship development was so satisfying. Shinpei telling Satoko to take his heart and Satoko telling him not to say things like that… 😭 This continues to be one of my favorite shoujo, just read it.

In this volume, we see Satoko finally reciprocate some of the niceties that Shinpei has shown her after he gets brutally hurt. She finds that her feelings for him are far more complicated than initially expected. But Satoko stands firm, committing to her promise to her father that she won’t allow her mind to be swayed, even by the possibility of love. In this volume, we see more intimacy between Satoko and Shinpei. We see more unexpected events disrupt their few moments of peace and more threats! We see Shinpei shift his perspective and change to everyone around him in unpredictable ways. These two may fight each other, but each volume brings them closer together.
