Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong

I read this years ago and loved it. When they came out with a Kindle edition for quite cheap, I jumped at the chance to get this revised edition. So far it has been just as great as I remember. Fantastic book, and very informative.
Informative, setting aside the title (which, while attention grabbing, is not entirely truthful, though he does address that within the book) and the weird, out of place unnecessary swipe at those who use "formula" to feed their babies. (Quotation marks are the author's, not mine.)
First few chapters about Columbus and Helen Keller were fascinating and things I'd genuinely never heard most of it. After that it become a bit monotonous for me. Skipped several chunks of chapters.

I wish schools taught the truth!! American history is so white-washed and slanted.
Loved reading this book and learning about all the inaccurate information I learned as a child. I grew up in Texas public schools so our history was a little biased to say the least. It's crazy reading this book and looking back on how much my teachers supported that narrative. I would have given this book but I found the last few chapters that focused more on the education system just meh.

Very informative and thought provoking.. It makes you want to delve deeper into what you've learned about history and find the lies and omissions beyond what the author had written about.
Read this many years ago. I enjoyed it, although I'm not sure how historically accurate this book is, either. It makes you think, and that's kind of the point.
