So well written. The humor was so cute!

Absolutely gorgeous prose and bitingly funny. But way too long.

A beautiful novel that feels like you’re part of the group yourself. It was warming and heart-felt while also tugging at the heartstrings jut enough.

Unfortunately I didn’t finish this one. Abandoning a book is RARE for me. Meandering, VERBOSE writing, random Italian words, not to mention the lack of punctuation, made “Still Life” an absolute chore for me to consume. Additionally, none of the characters had ANY depth whatsoever in my opinion. I read 60% of the novel and still didn’t care about any of them? This style of writing and storytelling just isn’t my taste.

Putting this in the *not for me* category, unfortunately.
