This book could have been so much shorter than it was. The premise is simple enough: a couple murdered on Easter and their three children are the prime suspects. But the way the investigation unfolds is so long-winded and boring, jumping back and forth between the three major suspects throughout the book. And when you know the focus is too much on two of them then it has to be the third who actually did it. There are also a lot of characters in the book that don’t really serve a purpose (unless the purpose was to further prolong the book). This story also didn’t have a climax, and just sputters out in the end. 2.5/5
This book was giving me Ruth Ware & Lucy Foley vibes. You’d probably enjoy this book if you’re fans of their work.
I loved how the story was told from so many points of view, switching every few paragraphs or pages. It kept me guessing until close to the end when the pieces all started falling into place.

A fast read, but I didn't vibe with the writing at all. Zero character development, odd dialog (it was kind of robotic?), and an anticlimactic plot.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat all the way up until the end! I had no idea who the murderer(s) was until the last ~15-20 pages of the book. There were a lot of characters to keep up with which could get confusing at times, but I think that helped keep the suspense high!

Started and finished date - 07.05.25 to 10.05.25.
My rating - Three Stars.
I enjoyed is book but I didn't love it and I think people who like the cousins by Karen M. McManus ay like is book also the cover of book was okay. The writing was fine but it took some time to get use to it. Both the atmosphere and mystery was pretty good. The paced of plot was well structured and this book was steady paced also the ending of book was fine. I had mixed feeling about the characters and I would have like them flash out bit more.
