finished it but barely. SV / SA on page and a BUNCH of inconsistent nonsense choices. The bad guys were not grey- they were villainous from the first. Kill them and don’t let them wreck your house, threaten your kids, and continue to emotionally, physically, sexually, and financially abuse the LITERALLY 12 grown ass parasitic adults who just did nothing!? About any of this? It was just intolerably TSTL. Kept telling me she’s a mature competent manager MOM with her shit together and there is absolutely no way in hell any mother would let these people in her house with her kids and men RAPING women in the living room? No. That was the end of any kind of stretch of credibility. Writing wasn’t terrible but it was a bonkers in a bad way plot and the saccharine insta loves + middle aged women plots were so glaringly out of place with the werewolf rape gang in the living room plot that I just don’t even know why I kept reading other than to find some glimmer of sense from these people and justify having spent time on this book. But there was none to be found.
