This book is easy to read, but it just contains general advice that can be easily found elsewhere.

Quick and easy to understand, with relatable examples and concepts. Looking forward to doing some follow-up research on the validity of the formula in more current conditions.

A simple idea and not too much pooha around it. Simple enough for everyone to understand, yet interesting enough for economics minded people.

I have only started to buy stocks. I made my first purchase in Oct with very little research. I have been begun reading multiple books from the so call experts. I found Joel's book informative. It was simple to comprehend. I know he has another book that I may check out. I am trying to follow his formula and even look into it more by looking at his other option. He is right that the hardest part is the start. I took one of the companies I have bought to get the ROA. The only problem I have is not all sites use the same terminology. The other sites do not refer to ROA or I don't know what is the same. If Joel reads this I would love to know what is the same. Also if someone wanted to hold stocks for like 3 years instead of 1 year would the same time frame selling losses and gains be the same. This is frustrating when one is willing to do the research. Still this book is worth reading.
