Some of the queer characters were written a bit cringe and the plot could be slow and predictable at times, but overall fantastic story about love and identity and acceptance

Standing ovation. Five stars, no question. S.A. Cosby - his voice, the profane humor, the social commentary, the message, that ending. Calling Razorblade Tears a thriller or murder mystery falls short - it is so much more. Don’t overlook this masterpiece.

This definitely wasn't an enjoyable read in the normal sense, I didn't feel any joy reading it and it was a heavy read in parts, but it was compelling and very readable.

Obviously the themes of racism and homophobia are a huge part in this story, but its so heavy handed that it became a bit repetitive in the middle and second half.

I did like the action and the conclusion, it was very hard to put down once everything started ramping up.

Not a book I would have normally picked but my book of the month gave me a free book and this was it….and oh my goodness!!! What a story. Sad. Gripping. Real. Well written. Touching. At times scary. But I loved every minute of it and couldn’t put it down. You really can’t judge a book by its cover—-and in this case- you shouldn’t!!! 5/5 stars hands down.

love when flawed characters are written with such grace and care. beautiful, tense, detailed story on two fathers seeking vengeance against not just those who harmed their sons, but also themselves. beautiful! page turner!
