Cursed is book 1 in The Devil's Roses series, it's also the first book I have read by T.L Brown and I wasn't disappointed. This book is right up my street, I love paranormal/urban fantasy/YA books.
This book follows Amiee, a 18 year old nerd. She keeps to herself and just hangs out with her best friend Blake, a fellow nerd.
He twin sister is nothing like her, she's popular and outgoing.
But one night her sister persuades her to go to a party and it changes everything in Amiee's life.
Her life basically gets tipped on it's head and she enters a world she never thought existed. But who is the mystery man that saved her life at the party?
Would she rather live without love, or die with being loved?
I really enjoyed this book, you get thrown straight into the story. The characters are very addictive, you can't help but read another chapter to find out what's happening.
I loved how the storyline progressed, and the mystery element we had with trying to figure what was happening with Aleks and mystery man drugging girls in the town.
I wasn't ready for the shock of the who the drugger was, but that kept me interested in the story.
I can't wait to read book 2 and to see what is happening in Amiee's life now!
