I enjoyed reading this book. I loved reading about Daisy and O'jek. I thought both of their backgrounds were very sad. And I was rooting for them the entire time.
I was happy to see Daisy trying to become more integrated into the tribe and trying to help out. Even if it started out with her just wanting to prove that she can be self sufficient, I'm happy that she found some joy in the tasks.
I was also happy to see O'jek has become closer to his brother Juth after having not known him his entire life, aside from what little he knew because of their mother after Juth was taken from her.
I also loved how Daisy came to accept the burns on her face from the accident, and that she no longer feels the need to be "pretty". I really felt for her and hated that she spent 10 years of her life being told she was useless and nothing but a pretty face to look at. And I'm glad that she has started to shed that mentality with the help of the tribe and especially O'jek.
Overall I thought this was and enjoyable read, aside from one or two chapters that skimmed through.

I was kind of really obsessed with o'jek's possessiveness 😅 ohhhh
I did like seeing daisy's POV on why she is always clean and neat etc but I do think .... Like girl you could have worked through this in the prior three years you've been on this PRIMITIVE PLANET? And you didn't need to wait for a boyfriend to work through this with you lol
I like the stories where they are in love and then resonate after that so it was nice. So much drama (but understandable and well tied in to the rest of the story drama, so it was acceptable)
