The writing in this was beautiful, and I love the bi/pan rep!

not really sure how i feel about this but i don't think i liked it very much.... i dislike the parents, i think the mental health rep, while i guess could be accurate for some people, would definitely be triggering for some. the things the MC was doing, would have made more sense if she was aged up a few years. it was fun seeing twelfth night retold. i feel like some of the side characters were more interesting.

I saw this book on booktok and have been so eager to read it ever since. I'm happy to report that it lived up to my expectations, such a great read. Lovable characters, gripping plot, sapphic girlies. What else could you need?

Twelfth Night is my favourite Shakespeare play, and I went into this with a lot of expectations. What has to be said is: I’m an adult, and the protagonist of this book is 16. I thought she was annoying for the first few chapters, but I realise now that she was just, well. 16.

I think if I read this book a couple of years ago, it would have been revolutionary to me. I liked how Violet’s complicated family history, Sam’s mental health, Liv’s and Violet’s sexualities and the group’s friendship were handled, and I’m glad this book exists for all the little queer drama kids out there, it just wasn’t for me at this point of my life.
