Wow. This book was intense. It was a far departure from the fluffy YA I have sitting on my bookshelf. The way Orwell presented his world and the warning message he sent was very impactful. I hadn’t read something that’d made me think this much in a long time. I wish I could have read it for school so we could go in depth and really analyze it, because I’m sure I missed a lot this first time around. It might even be worth a reread.

Did it for school hated it because it was for school but it wasn't the worst book out there. I know I shouldn't have but I sided with the people to begin with and than I sided with Neapolion. He knew how to get power I respect it.

Not much to say about Animal Farm that hasn’t already been said a thousand times. It’s a shame that something which is such a blatant cautionary tale shows up time and time again in history, and yet the behaviour that we would say is ridiculous and obviously appalling goes unchecked. Fabulously written, however, easy to digest and makes its points perfectly.
